Welcome to BDAT People
Our Faculty of Professional and Career Development for BDAT current and future staff
The BDAT Faculty of Professional and Career Development brings together into a single entity all that we currently do to recruit, develop and retain our staff. The Faculty provides the strategic direction to ensure that our professional and career development supports school improvement and drives our vision of BDAT as an employer of choice.
By bringing all our work in this area under ‘one umbrella’ it ensures our staff know about BDAT’s development offers and how they can be accessed.
The Faculty’s Mission: To drive school improvement by recruiting, developing and retaining highly competent and confident staff to deliver high quality education so every child can fulfil their potential and goals.
Our rationale or reason for doing this is: because there are no great schools without great staff.
Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust is our parent charitable Trust set up to deliver high-quality education for students in Bradford. Together, BDAT People and BDAT work together to provide an excellent education experience to over 9550 students in our city through investing in and developing our staff.
A Warm Welcome to BDAT People, our Faculty of Professional and Career Development.
Thank you for taking the time to find out about BDAT People.
We are part of BDAT a Bradford based Multi-Academy Trust, a charity and company limited by guarantee, set up in 2012 to support and sponsor primary and secondary schools across our city. BDAT is primarily a family of schools, working together to make sure every child within our care, gets the absolute best education we can deliver.
We are also a Trust which works hard to be an employer of choice – we know we can’t have great schools without great staff and we work very hard to recruit, retain and develop our people to be the best they can be.
We work to recruit well-qualified staff that share the Trust’s vision and values. Staff that will ensure school improvement underpins everything they do and understand the importance of their own professional development in making a difference to the education of our students. We would like to hear from you if you would like to join our team, we can sign you up so that you receive by email details of any vacancies that become available and we can support your application to our BDAT Initial Teacher Training.
We strive to ensure that our pupils have staff with great expertise in their schools. To support staff to continually improve at the job they are doing and to be ready for their next career step. We are a delivery partner with Ambition Institute for our Early Career Teacher offer and for the NPQs.
Thanks again for visiting our website. Whether you are a governor looking to join us; a staff member considering your next career role with us or someone wanting to join our team – we hope you find our website informative and that it clearly signposts to how you can get further involved.
Please stay in touch.
