Professional Learning Communities
BDAT runs an exciting and vibrant Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) programme. We have communities across both our secondary and primary phases for staff working in education and professional services.
Professional Learning Communities Aims:
The aims of our BDAT Professional Learning Communities are:
- To collaboratively drive forward school and Trust improvement by sharing best practice, skill and expertise.
- To develop confidence and competence of all colleagues through research led professional development, empowering colleagues to develop as leaders.
- To drive innovation and standardise processes, whilst ensuring bespoke practice.
- To align school improvement priorities helping to reduce workload and enhance wellbeing across the BDAT family.
Primary Education PLCs
Our Primary Education PLCs enrich pedagogical knowledge through professional collaboration. They are research based, driving school improvement. The PLC programme covers a wide range of subject networks including Attendance, SIAMS, Pupil Premium and SEND, plus subject networks in areas including Maths, English, Year 6 and EYFS.
Secondary Education PLCs
Our Secondary Education PLCs are research based collaborative communities which support professional curiosity. The PLC programme covers areas such as Quality of Education, Attendance and Student Experience plus a range of subjects communities.
Professional Services PLCs
Our Professional Services PLCs are at the cutting edge of educational improvement, they cascade knowledge whilst giving time to reflect on current practice and policy. The PLC programme covers Academy Business Leadership, Family Engagement and HR amongst others.
